Life is the eleventh album by DGM, the Italian progressive power metal band, and follows Tragic Separation of 2020. At the centre of it is Simone Mularoni, as busy behind the desk as he is on stage: he wrote, produced, mixed and mastered this one himself. It took about two years to shape, and what is here was picked from a much larger body of writing done in that time -- the record of a band more than twenty years and ten albums in, pushing their own identity and their approach to songs another step. Strong singing, technical playing, hooks that cut across heavy riffing: all of that is still theirs. The Japanese edition adds an acoustic version of "Unravel the Sorrow". Marquee Inc. released it on 17 November 2023 as MICP-11832. Eleven tracks, about sixty-two minutes.
