New Era Part.4 Resurgence is the first Derdian album in about five years, after DNA in 2018, and it carries the story the Milanese melodic metal band began with their 2004 debut into a fourth chapter. Ivan Giannini, the front man who defines the current band, had rejoined for the previous record and toured Japan behind it, which did a great deal to bring their audience back; this album was made by that line-up and is full of the dramatic writing they are known for. King Records' NEXUS imprint released the Japanese edition on 11 October 2023 as KICP-4060, ahead of the international release on 20 October. Japan gets "She's the Key" as a bonus track, making ten songs against the international nine, about fifty-one minutes in all.
