Wormholedeath Japan's direct-import CD of DEOS's Augustus Omnipotens (BITX-1419), with Japanese specifications, arrived on 30 January 2026, eight weeks after Wormholedeath released the French band's concept album on 5 December 2025. Its eleven songs follow Octavianus's rise to power as Augustus, the first emperor of Rome, and the band says it fused death, black and thrash metal more tightly than before so that the whole record plays like a kind of extreme opera. The line-up is bassist and singer Jack "Janus" Graved, guitarists Fabio Battistella and Cedric "Cedd" Boehm, who also sing backing vocals, and drummer Loic Depauwe. Alongside a trailer and a lyric video for "Dura Lex Sed Lex", the band released an official video for "Caesar Divi Filius", whose credits name David – Dax Studio as director.
