Banished By Sin is the thirteenth album by Deicide, the Florida death metal band who have held the same satanic line since their 1990 debut, and their first in six years since Overtures Of Blasphemy. It is the first with Taylor Nordberg, the guitarist from Massacre and Inhuman Condition, alongside Glen Benton on bass and vocals, Steve Asheim on drums and Kevin Quirion on guitar. Benton has said plainly that the record is a return to the band's nineties style, and that is how it plays: evil and brutal, with riffs and melodies that hook the first time through. Reigning Phoenix Music released it on 26 April 2024 and Ward Records issued the Japanese edition, GQCS-91468, on 31 May. Twelve tracks, about thirty-nine minutes.
