Alchemists is the third album by Degrees of Truth, an Italian symphonic and progressive metal band. They debuted with The Reins of Life in 2016, and Time Travel Artifact, which they released themselves in 2019, is what brought them to the attention of Scarlet Records in Italy. This is the most varied record they have made: influences from pop and electronic music are absorbed into European progressive metal that keeps its melodies plain and its symphonic arrangements up front. Claudia Bertrame, newly in on vocals, is a considerable presence, moving between straight rock singing and an operatic delivery. Richard Henshall of Haken guests. Ward Records released the Japanese edition on 24 November 2023 as GQCS-91405, after the overseas edition of 23 June. Ten tracks, about forty-four minutes.
