LINER NOTES
Deathless Legacy's Damnatio Aeterna reached shops through Scarlet Records on 7 March 2025, and Ward Records brought the Italian band's symphonic horror metal to Japan on 1 August as GQCS-91656, eleven tracks running about 58 minutes with a Japanese booklet and translated lyrics. The Japanese label traces the group to 2006, when it played Death SS material under the name Deathless; original songs followed, the present name arrived in 2013 alongside the debut album Rise from the Grave, and Scarlet has since released The Gathering (2016), Dance with Devils (2017), Rituals of Black Magic (2018) and Mater Larvarum (2022). This one is a concept record about lesser demons, and the label points to cold synthesizers and mixed male and female choirs as what carries the arrangements. Three songs have videos on Scarlet's channel: the label calls "Miserere" the first single and "Sanctified" the third, and "Get On Your Knees" followed in May. Frater Orion directed the clips for "Sanctified" and "Get On Your Knees".
