From Gravel to Grave is the debut album by Death Racer, an Austrian band whose name comes from Razor's "Deathrace". A demo, Qualifying, appeared in 2020, and an appearance on a Dying Victims Productions compilation in 2022 brought them to the label. The music mixes late-1980s black metal with speed and thrash, and writers reach for the new wave of British heavy metal, Exciter, Bulldozer, latter-day Darkthrone and Bathory to describe it. Motor racing and the lives it has taken run through the whole record, as the titles "Imola '94" and "Nordschleife" suggest. Dying Victims Productions released it on 26 July 2024 and it reached Japan as an import on 30 August 2024 — eight tracks.
