Danko Jones's Leo Rising, the twelfth studio album from the Toronto power trio formed in 1996, came out on 21 November 2025 through Perception, part of Reigning Phoenix Music, with Sonic Unyon handling Canada, and Ward Records released the Japanese edition the same day (GQCS-91693) with a Japanese booklet and translated lyrics, eleven songs in about 38 minutes.

Danko Jones's Leo Rising, the twelfth studio album from the Toronto power trio formed in 1996, came out on 21 November 2025 through Perception, part of Reigning Phoenix Music, with Sonic Unyon handling Canada, and Ward Records released the Japanese edition the same day (GQCS-91693) with a Japanese booklet and translated lyrics, eleven songs in about 38 minutes. Long-time collaborator Eric Ratz produced it, and the singles' credits add that he mixed them and that Harry Hess mastered them at H-bomb Mastering; as Blabbermouth reports, the trio once more tracked separately: bass came from John Calabrese in Finland, while Toronto hosted both Rich Knox, who flew in for his drum parts, and Danko Jones, who did vocals and guitars there with Ratz. Marty Friedman, known for his work with Megadeth and Cacophony, plays lead guitar on "Diamond In The Rough", and the frontman says he likes the endless round of recording, touring and writing, and that the routine follows Motörhead's example. The band's channel carries a lyric video for the opener "What You Need" and official videos for "Everyday Is Saturday Night", filmed in Osaka, "Diamond In The Rough", a loose spoof of Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park in which the Kiss cover band Wicked Kisser mime the song, and "I Love It Louder", shot at a string of festivals in summer 2025.
