Requiem for a Pipe Dream

The fourth studio album by Cyhra, the Swedish melodic and modern metal band, and their first album for Reigning Phoenix Music. The band date their founding to 2016, when Jake E, a co-founder of Amaranthe, started them with Jesper Strömblad of The Halo Effect, formerly of In Flames; Letters To Myself followed in 2017, No Halos In Hell in 2019 and The Vertigo Trigger in 2023. The line-up here is Jake E on vocals and keys, Euge Valovirta on guitar and bass, Alex Landenburg of Kamelot on drums, Marcus Sunesson on guitar and Strömblad on bass and guitar; Valovirta took over the bass after Peter Iwers left. Four songs preceded the album: "Superman" in December 2024, "Skin From Bones" in February 2025, "Mark Of My Sins" that April and "Box With Spirits" that November. "Bleed With Pride" arrived with the announcement on 3 April 2026. The digital edition adds "Hold Your Fire", featuring Samy Elbanna of Lost Society, and carries the first three of those singles as re-recorded versions. Ward Records issue the Japanese edition on 5 June 2026 alongside the international release, adding a commentary booklet and translated lyrics (GQCS-91756). Ten songs on CD, eleven digitally.
