A thirtieth-anniversary pressing of Coverdale Page, the only album David Coverdale of Whitesnake and Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin made together, released in 1993 -- and the first time it has been reissued on vinyl anywhere. Coverdale had taken Whitesnake to worldwide success in the late 1980s and dissolved the band at the start of the 1990s; Page had done little in public since his 1988 solo work. John Kalodner, the A&R man at Geffen, where both were signed, is the one who put them together. It started well -- number four in Britain, number five in America, more than 150,000 copies sold in Japan, and the only tour the pairing ever played, which happened here -- but it was over in little more than a year when Page turned to his project with Robert Plant. The original vinyl was pressed in small numbers even abroad and squeezed some sixty-one minutes onto a single disc; this Japanese edition spreads it across four sides of two clear blue records for the sake of the sound. Sony Music Labels released it on 22 November 2023 as SIJP-1091. Eleven tracks.
