Frontiers Music Srl released Metalmorphosis on 15 May 2026, and the album's announcement bills it as the Swedish band's long-awaited fourth record and their most ambitious yet, reaching for more commercial songs without giving up the grit of their Stockholm beginnings. The band themselves rate these ten as the best-crafted songs they have written. Eclipse's Erik Mårtensson mixed and mastered it. Confess are singer John Elliot, whose voice has also been heard with Crashdiet, guitarists Ludwig Nordlander and Asser Hakala, bassist Lucky and drummer Samuel Samael. The singles came as music videos for "Wicked Temptations" and "The Warriors" (featuring Will Wilde) and a visualizer for the title track, with a video for "Colorvision" following in September. Marquee / Avalon's Japanese CD, released the same day as MICP-12021, adds "The Other Side (80's Remix)" for eleven songs and about 48 minutes.
