Anthems of the Venomous Hearts is Cobra Spell re-recording their own back catalogue: six songs drawn from Love Venom (2020) and Anthems Of The Night (2022), two EPs that were never released in Japan and whose reception helped the band sign to Napalm Records. Sonia Anubis — a guitarist whose earlier bands were Crypta and Burning Witches — runs this sleaze metal outfit, and the re-recordings use the line-up as it stands now: Kristina Vega singing, Noelle dos Anjos on guitar, Hale Naphtha on drums, Roxy Herrera on bass. The record came out internationally on 28 March 2025; Marquee Inc. released it in Japan on 18 June 2025 as MICP-11930, under the title Moeru Kokoro. That name belongs to the fifth track, a Japanese-language version of "Flaming Heart" which sits directly before it.
