666 is the first album by Cobra Spell, the sleaze metal band led by guitarist Sonia Anubis, formerly of Crypta and Burning Witches; it goes out in Japan as 666 -Miwaku no Jumon-. Two EPs praised worldwide -- Love Venom in 2020 and Anthems of the Night in 2022, the latter never issued here -- brought them a deal with Napalm Records, and they made this record with a new line-up: Kristina Vega on vocals, Noelle dos Anjos on guitar, Hale Naphtha on drums and Roxy Herrera on bass. It is 1980s sleaze metal played as such, with a groove-driven saxophone solo on one song and catchy writing full of the alluring melodies of that decade, and running away and rebellion -- W.A.S.P.'s subjects -- as its own. The Japanese edition adds "You're So Dirty". Marquee Inc. released it on 29 November 2023 as MICP-11835. Thirteen tracks, about fifty-three minutes.
