Society's Pact With Satan is the last thing Lee Dorrian's British doom band Cathedral ever recorded: a single piece of almost half an hour, taped in 2012 as the sessions for their final album, The Last Spire (2013), were wrapping up. It was never mixed back then and slipped from memory until producer Jaime Gomez Arellano came across it among his old studio recordings and the band agreed to put it out. Dorrian sings, with Garry Jennings on guitar, Scott Carlson on bass and Brian Dixon on drums, and Dorrian and Jennings produced it with Gomez Arellano's assistance. Rise Above Records issued it on 3 October 2025 and shared a trailer and a full-length version with lyrics. The Japanese CD from Trooper Entertainment, released on 27 May 2026 as QATE-10153, holds the 29-minute-43-second track with lyrics, Japanese translations and liner notes by Masanori Ito and Takahisa Okuno.
