LINER NOTES
Advenae is the debut album by CARMERIA, the Australian symphonic metal band, self-released on 14 May 2021; besides the digital release there is a digipak CD made in Sydney. Its twelve songs include "Carpe Noctem" and "Solaris", which the band had put out as singles in 2016 and 2017, and it closes with the nearly twelve-minute "Eternity". The band performed and produced it themselves: Jerry Zahija recorded the guitars, bass and keyboards at Casa Noctem Studios, the vocals were recorded at SLS Studios, Jordan von Grae wrote the lyrics and the Australian artist Jon Hocking illustrated the sleeve.
Four songs came out ahead of the album with videos: "Morningstar" in April 2020, "Celestia" that July, "To Lead the Blind" in March 2021 and "Relinquished", the last of them, in April 2021. The albums that followed are Tragédie D'amour (2024) and Ex Cathedra, which has a release date of 30 October 2026. Ward Records' Japanese edition (GQCS-91803), with a release date of 18 December 2026, adds Japanese liner notes, translated lyrics and the Japan-only bonus track "Solaris (Acoustic)", a title also found on the band's 2025 acoustic EP Trinity: Volume I.
