We Remain is the third album by Carbon Black, a four-piece groove metal band from New South Wales in Australia. The brothers Steve Giles on drums and Rob Giles on bass started it; Damon Bishop on guitar and Jonathan Hurley on vocals complete it, and all four came up on the modern heaviness of the 1990s. Their 2014 debut EP Principium scored well in the Australian metal press, which led to support slots with many well-known bands and a win in a national heavy metal contest, and by their first full album, End of This in 2018, they were opening for Max and Iggor Cavalera, Marty Friedman and Voivod. Lachlan Mitchell produced this one and Kevin "Caveman" Shirley, who has worked with Dream Theater and Iron Maiden, mixed it. Tim "Ripper" Owens of KK's Priest guests on "Under Order". WormHoleDeath Japan released the Japanese-packaged import on 30 November 2023 as BITX-1283, after the original of 6 May 2022. Eight tracks, about thirty-three minutes.
