LINER NOTES
Power To Survive is the third studio album by Burning Sun, the melodic power metal band from Hungary. Pride & Joy Music of Germany issued it internationally on 21 August 2026 with ten songs, and Rubicon Music released the Japanese edition on 14 October 2026 as RBNCD-1473, adding an alternative version of "Quest Divine" as a bonus track for eleven in all. The band was formed in Hungary in 2022 by its bassist and takes its name from a Helloween song. Stormspell Records put out the debut Wake of Ashes in 2023, and Metalizer Records followed in 2025 with Retribution, a concept album about revenge and redemption. Early in 2026 a new singer-guitarist and a new drummer joined, and Pancho Ireland — who had been singing as well as playing guitar, and who also plays in Merciless Law — moved to lead guitar; this is the first album that line-up has made. Disk Union's notes describe a band drawn to the soaring melodies and headlong tempos of European power metal in the nineties, and a record built around songs about coming through a hard time. Herbie Langhans guests on "Emaly's Hymn" and Alexandra Lioness on "Over And Beyond".
