Fimbulvinter is the fourth album by Brothers of Metal, the seven-piece Swedish pagan and Viking metal band with three singers and twin guitars, and their first in about four years, since Emblas Saga. Lyrics drawn from Norse myth and a sound that is catchy and forceful have won them attention across the European metal scene; the interplay of clean and growled vocals, and the presence of Ylva Eriksson as the band's one woman, are what mark them out. The title refers to the fimbulwinter, the three successive winters that in Norse myth precede Ragnarok. AFM Records released it on 1 November 2024; King Records issued the Japanese edition on 27 November as KICP-94062, a limited pressing. Thirteen tracks, with official videos for Fimbulvinter and Heavy Metal Viking and a lyric video for Nanna's Fate.
