This is the Japan-only deluxe edition of Bon Jovi's 1984 debut album, released by Universal Music on 21 May 2025 as UICY-80581 — one of a series assembled in Japan for the band's fortieth anniversary, which takes the deluxe edition issued in America the year before and adds bonus material available nowhere else. Disc one holds the original nine songs. Disc two opens with four versions of "Runaway" — a cassette writing demo, a pre-production studio demo, an alternate version and an extended version in a 2024 mix — then a reference vocal version of "Come Back", and closes with live recordings from the Gaumont Theatre in Ipswich and from Super Rock '84 in Japan, both from 1984. A limited first pressing on high-fidelity SHM-CD in a 7-inch card sleeve, with a Japanese essay and translated lyrics. Photo cards reproduce the sleeves of every single EP released from the album in Japan, and the disc holder is a scan of the label of the first of them, "Runaway".
