Merciless is the eighth Body Count album, the American rap metal band fronted by Ice-T, released through Century Media. David Gilmour plays guitar on their cover of the Pink Floyd song Comfortably Numb, and Max Cavalera of Soulfly, George Fisher of Cannibal Corpse and Howard Jones also guest. Sony Music Labels issued the Japanese edition on 22 November 2024 as SICP-6592, the same day as the rest of the world. Twelve tracks, with two more on the Japanese pressing alone: Black Hoodie, from 2017's Bloodlust, and Bum-Rush, from 2020's Carnivore. Both were nominated for the Grammy for Best Metal Performance and Bum-Rush won it. Official videos accompany Psychopath, F*** What You Heard and Comfortably Numb.
