Absolute Elsewhere is the third album by Blood Incantation, formed in Denver, Colorado in 2011, and follows Starspawn (2016) and Hidden History of the Human Race (2019). It is built as two suites of three parts each, The Stargate and The Message, in which the band's technical riffing and growled death metal sit inside cosmic synthesiser textures. The EP before it, 2022's Timewave Zero, was synth and acoustic throughout and read to some as a departure from metal; this record absorbs that experiment rather than abandoning it. Century Media released the album internationally on 4 October 2024. Daymare Recordings issued the Japanese edition on 6 November as DYMC416, and it alone is a two-disc set: the 2023 EP Luminescent Bridge, until then available only on a limited vinyl pressing, appears on CD for the first time as the bonus disc. The band has an official video for The Stargate.
