Bastard Skull
Bastard Skull is a four-piece thrash metal band that came together on 13 November 2022 in the lobby of the Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, New York, during a Mercyful Fate show, when guitarist John Blicharz (Annunaki, Blood Feast, Dusk) ran into Tom Lorenzo (Blood Feast, Without End) for the first time since Blicharz left Blood Feast in 2014.

Bastard Skull is a four-piece thrash metal band that came together on 13 November 2022 in the lobby of the Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, New York, during a Mercyful Fate show, when guitarist John Blicharz (Annunaki, Blood Feast, Dusk) ran into Tom Lorenzo (Blood Feast, Without End) for the first time since Blicharz left Blood Feast in 2014. Lorenzo moved from bass to vocals, and the line-up was completed by George Kostadimas on bass and Mark Mari (Sneak Attack) on drums. The band is based in Bayonne, New Jersey. This self-titled record is their debut album, tracked and mixed in the summer of 2024 at Band Mother Recording by Michael Sabatini (Attacker) and mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music in upstate New York. John Blicharz produced it; the cover art and the band logo were designed by Luciferium War Graphics. The band's own Bandcamp dates the album 7 February 2025; the signing to Wormholedeath was announced on 26 August 2025 and the label issued the album on 17 October 2025. The Japanese edition is a direct-import release with Japanese packaging from Wormholedeath Japan (cat. no. BITX-1477), out on 28 August 2026 with eight tracks. Lyric videos for the title track "Bastard Skull" and for "After The Plague" were posted ahead of it on the label's YouTube channel.
