Fym is the third album by Azure, the progressive rock band formed in Brighton, England, and the first of theirs to be pressed in Japan, where it is titled Fim no Boken. Chris Sampson and Galen Stapley started the band; Wish For Spring followed in 2017 and the single-song EP Redtail in 2018, and it was 2021's Of Brine And Angels Beaks that got them noticed at home — that year's PROG magazine readers' poll voted them the best unsigned band in the country. Shaz D, who played keyboards on DragonForce's "Power Of The Saber Blade" and wrote on Marc Hudson's solo album, has since joined. This one is a concept album built to be heard as a single story, and the band's mix of contemporary-classical writing and progressive rock is more tangled here than on either record before it. It was self-released on 23 May 2024, and Marquee Incorporated issued the Japanese edition, MICP-90127, on 22 May as a two-disc set with the singles "Spark Madrigal" and "Demon Returns" added — fourteen tracks, about an hour and twenty-four minutes.
