Autumn's Child's Melody Lane was set for a worldwide release through Pride & Joy Music on 23 January 2026, but Marquee's Japanese CD (MICP-11996) came out first, on 17 December 2025, with liner notes, translated lyrics and a mono mix of "Understatement Of The Year" as a bonus track. Pride & Joy calls it the sixth album by the band Mikael Erlandsson started after Last Autumn's Dream, the group he had founded with Fair Warning guitarist Andy Malecek in 2003, and the band's fourth for the label; the five before it run from the self-titled debut of 2019 to Tellus Timeline in 2024. In the label's line-up Erlandsson sings and plays keyboards and guitar, Pontus Åkesson is the lead guitarist, Claes Andreasson adds keys, Magnus Rosén plays bass and Rickard Johnsson sits behind the drums, although the Japanese distributor's notes name a different drummer; Johanna Hjort joins the singing on "Lovesong". The label also credits Erlandsson and Andreasson with the production, Jimi Thiesen with the mix and Mikael Andersson with the mastering, and the lead single "Pray For The King" was released as an audio video.
