The Harp is the debut album by Auro Control, a power metal band out of São Paulo, Brazil. The name works twice over: auro is Latin for gold, and it sits close enough to "out of control" to be heard as both. At the centre is the singer Lucas de Ouro, who names André Matos and Edu Falaschi of his countrymen Angra alongside Jeff Scott Soto and Geoff Tate as the voices he learned from. Lucas Barnery writes most of the material on guitar, Thiago Baumgarten of Hibria plays bass, and Diego Pires and David Britto fill out the line-up. The guest list is largely Brazilian metal royalty — Jeff Scott Soto sings on "Not Alone", Felipe Andreoli of Angra and Aiace appear on the title track, the former Angra drummer Aquiles Priester plays on "Rise Of The Phoenix", and Fabio Laguna handles keyboards throughout. Marquee Incorporated released it in Japan on 1 May 2024 as MICP-11874, adding "Inside The Mirror" — eleven tracks, about fifty-four minutes.
