Impii Hora is the first album by Asinhell, the band Michael Poulsen of Volbeat started in order to go back to the death metal he came from. He plays guitar only here; Marc Grewe, formerly of Morgoth, sings. It is death metal without hedging, built on heavy riffing with hooks in it and refrains written to be shouted back. Jacob Hansen, a Grammy-nominated producer whose credits include Volbeat, Arch Enemy and Heaven Shall Burn, produced and mastered it. The lyrics were written with Frank Albers, a psychologist whose work has dealt with sociopathy, schizophrenia and violent offenders, which is where the record's lurid streak comes from. The Japanese edition is a Blu-spec CD2 with a commentary and translated lyrics. Sony Music Labels released it on 20 December 2023 as SICX-30189, after the overseas edition of 29 September. Ten tracks, about thirty-nine minutes.
