Eveil

Eveil is the debut album by Antipod, a French progressive heavy metal seven-piece with two lead vocalists, one male and one female, and it is sung entirely in French. It began as Mythrillium, a solo project by the keyboard player and composer Sébastien Lelong; after a run of demos he brought in Steven Segarra, a multi-instrumentalist from the local band Wedingoth, along with a long list of guests, and the first single from those sessions ended up in rotation on more than three hundred radio stations. That response turned the project into a working band, and after a stretch of live shows and a worldwide deal with Wormholedeath the album arrived on 9 February 2024. Clean male singing, an expressive female voice and dramatic, classically shaped arrangements run through eleven tracks and fifty-three minutes, closing with an orchestral version of "La vie au temps" as a bonus. WormHoleDeath Japan issued the Japanese edition (BITX-1358), a direct import with Japanese packaging, on 28 February 2025.
