Rapture is the third solo album by Anette Olzon, the Swedish singer most people know from her years in Nightwish, and her first in about three years. Her solo debut Shine went the other way from the band and showed the pop singer in her; Strong, in 2021, did what its title says. This one carries that further, written and produced again with Magnus Karlsson and pitched between symphonic and power metal, with her husband Johan Husgafvel adding growls to give the record a rougher edge in places. Jacob Hansen mixed and mastered, as on the last one. Away from her own name she sings in The Dark Element with Jani Liimatainen, formerly of Sonata Arctica, and in Allen/Olzon with Russell Allen of Symphony X. Frontiers and Marquee Incorporated in Japan released it on the same day, 10 May 2024, the Japanese edition as MICP-11875 with an orchestral version of "Hear My Song" added — twelve tracks, about fifty-six minutes.
