Of War and Flames is the debut album by Alterium, an Italian power metal band. It started at the end of 2022 with three people out of the disbanded Kalidia — Nicoletta Rosellini on vocals, Paolo Campitelli on guitar and Dario Gozzi on drums — and became a five-piece almost immediately when Alessandro Mammola and Luca Scarabelli joined. Rosellini set out to begin from somewhere other than where Kalidia had, and brought in Lars Rettkowitz of Freedom Call to produce. Three songs went out ahead of the album — the fast "Drag Me To Hell", the heavier "Siren's Call" and the title track — and between them they mapped the direction. AFM Records released it on 8 March 2024 and Marquee Incorporated issued the Japanese edition, MICP-11872, on 24 April with "Raise Our Jar" added — eleven tracks, about forty-five minutes.
