Heaven Tonight is the album with which the Swedish melodic rock band Alicate made their Japanese debut. Jonas Erixon, who sings and plays guitar, and the bassist Fredrik Ekberg formed the band in the late 1980s; they released a seven-inch single that is now a collector's item, supported Ian Gillan on his Toolbox tour in 1992 and then stopped. They reformed in 2006, released their first full album, World Of Anger, in 2009, found an audience after playing the Sweden Rock Festival that year, and followed it with Free Falling, Unforgiven To Be Forgiven and Butterfly, none of which came out in Japan. Erixon is also known as a writer, having given songs to Giant and to Skills, the band Billy Sheehan played in. The line-up is completed by Glenn Ljungkvist on keyboards and Jesper Persson on drums. Pride & Joy Music released it on 19 April 2024 and Marquee issued the Japanese edition, MICP-11904, on 21 August 2024 with one bonus track — eleven in all, about 46 minutes.
