Acts of Madness, the third album from British heavy metal band Airforce, came out of a hard stretch: according to the label, its making ran into the pandemic and the loss of producer and friend Pete Franklin, and it became a very personal record as a result. Drummer Doug Sampson, who played with Iron Maiden in their earliest days, leads a line-up of Lino (vocals), Chop Pitman (guitars) and Tony Hatton (bass). The band first formed in the 1980s but broke up in 2001 without releasing an album, and after returning in the 2010s they debuted with Judgement Day in 2016. ROAR, part of Reigning Phoenix Music, released these eleven songs, including a cover of Iron Maiden's "Strange World", on 21 February 2025, with official videos for "Among the Shadows", "Westworld", "Cursed Moon" and "The Fury". Ward Records followed with the Japanese edition on 22 May 2026 (GQCS-91754), about 53 minutes, with Japanese liner notes and translated lyrics.
