Take a Piece

Take a Piece is the second album by About Us, a melodic rock band from the Wokha district of Nagaland, in the north-east of India. They formed in the winter of 2019 out of players who had each spent fifteen years or so in other bands and projects, and the blues, AOR and hard rock those years left them with are all audible. Their first music video, "Gimme Gimme", went up in April 2021 and passed half a million plays on YouTube; the song took the best rock award at the MG Nagaland Music Hours in June 2021 and at the Music Hours of Nagaland that October, two years running. A self-titled debut at home brought them to the attention of Frontiers Records, who re-released it worldwide in 2022 and put the band in front of melodic rock listeners in Japan. This follows the same line with both the melodies and the attack sharpened. Frontiers released it on 12 April 2024 and Marquee Incorporated issued the Japanese edition, MICP-11871, on 24 April with an acoustic version of "EVH" added — eleven tracks, about forty-four minutes.
